Additional Info on Novel Treatment for Long-Haulers and Vaccine Injured
Updated March 17th 2024
I see many of you are interested in an earlier post of mine, regarding the novel treatment for long-haulers and the vaccine injured, brought to you by Dr. Bruce Patterson. And so I wanted to update and supply you with additional information on his treatment and diagnostics.
Just a couple of things first. There are no recognized, approved treatments for long-haulers and/or the vaccine injured. In fact, you hear very little about any developments regarding this prominent health concern. Other than Pfizer’s expensive antiviral Paxlovid, in clinical trials for long-haulers. That, and maybe some helpful nutrients that boost and modulate your immunity, while minimizing the damage caused by the persistent spike. I have covered many of those nutraceuticals here and here. So it’s very surprising Dr. Patterson’s approach to treatment is not picking up any steam. It’s not like there are many other promising options being explored. So why is this not getting any coverage? The only coverage I’ve seen on this, other than the good doctor explaining his work on YouTube,… is this local news clip that is almost 3 years old.….
Then there is this clip on a national broadcast, trying to put a negative spin on it, even though the patient interviewed, made a miraculous recovery. This is so weird, considering there is also another patient in the vid, who was hesitant in taking the treatment, so stuck with her long-haul clinic, and now after 15 months, can comfortably walk 5 blocks. Wow! What a breakthrough. I guess if she went to the store 4 blocks away, she would need to take a cab home….
Dr. Bruce Patterson is a bit disappointed his diagnostic tests are not gaining traction. Cause as it stands right now, there is no official test to diagnose long COVID.
“There is currently no test to diagnose long-term complications from COVID-19…” Long COVID: Symptoms List, Treatment, and More (verywellhealth.com)
“The federal government has burned through more than $1 billion to study long Covid,… [and] There’s basically nothing to show for it…. The NIH hasn’t signed up a single patient to test any potential treatments — despite a clear mandate from Congress to study them.” The NIH poured $1 billion into long Covid research, with little to show for it - Statnews (April 2023)
“Where things stand: There still aren't diagnostic tests for long COVID…… Reality check: Most treatments being studied focus more on managing symptoms rather than curing long COVID.” Long COVID’s testing, treatment could be close - Axios (March 2024)
Isn’t this simply incredible,… when Dr. Patterson’s diagnostic kit has been approved in Europe,… since September 2022? He can now differentiate between long COVID, ME/CFS, Chronic Lyme, and the Vax Injured, that share many of the same symptoms, based on data that he has accumulated from over 40,000 patients.
But to this day, it still has not been approved in the US. Which means you would have to pay out of pocket to get tested. Insurance won’t cover it. Although, Dr. Patterson says some of the testing might be covered.
According to the website… covidlonghaulers.com

Immune Subset Panel with S1: $495
Now as far as the treatment goes, that normally takes much more time to be approved. He recently received an FDA go ahead for a randomized clinical trial. Treatments and drugs undergo a much more rigorous approval process than do vaccines. There is no warp speed with drugs or therapeutics. It takes years for a drug or treatment to be approved for a specific condition. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait. His treatment involves two very well known FDA approved drugs, that have been around for decades. Therefore can be used off label,… for purposes other than what the drug was originally indicated for. And there are numerous drugs that are used off label, just like Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine. So getting these medications should not be a problem. Just need to find a doctor willing to help you. And if you are severely debilitated, I don’t see how he would not want to help.
If it were me, I would bring the study to my GP, showing the exact doses used and the results they achieved. Plus other studies on the drug’s safety. And if he were to disagree, I would look for another doc that would be more open to this treatment.
The two drugs, Maraviroc and Pravastatin are serious medications and require close monitoring by a doctor.

The statin (Pravastatin) is pretty cheap, but the CCR5 antagonist (Maraviroc) is kind of expensive. For the length of treatment, 8 to 12 weeks, it could run you $800 to $1,200 out of pocket if your insurance won’t cover it.
In this study I posted previously by Dr. Patterson, he gave 300mg of Maraviroc, twice daily, and 10mg of Pravastatin once daily….
“Despite a black box warning for hepatoxicity, maraviroc has demonstrated a strong safety profile in adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations. Analysis of the MOTIVATE study demonstrated a low incidence of hepatoxicity with maraviroc even after 96 weeks of treatment at the FDA approved dose of 300 mg. This influenced our decision to treat with this dose. Hepatic safety was monitored in all the participants by measuring and evaluating AST, ALT, and total bilirubin (LFTs) prior to commencing treatment with maraviroc and every 2 weeks while on treatment. None of participants presented here experienced any clinical signs of hepatotoxicity or elevated liver function serologies while on, or after, treatment…. We followed up bi-monthly with these 18 patients for up to 12 weeks post-treatment and no one reported that their symptoms worsened or returned during this period.” Case series: Maraviroc and pravastatin as a therapeutic option to treat long COVID - Frontiers (Feb. 2023)
According to Dr. Patterson, he did a follow up study with close to 300 patients. But nowhere in the paper did he mention on how well these patients did or that they were even treated with this drug combo. Only that they were able to identify the different conditions, (long Covid, ME/CFS, chronic Lyme, vax injured) sharing very similar symptoms through their biomarker diagnostics. But in that first trial, he saw an 80% improvement in symptoms, before stopping medication in the 18 participants. Some took 6, 8 or 12 weeks to reach that level of symptom improvement. In this recent interview, he mentions 85% of patients had symptom improvements. Whether he is referring to the follow up study or his 40,000+ patients, I can’t be sure…. What is so exciting about this treatment,… it is looking to correct the underlying cause behind all the symptoms of long COVID. Almost all the symptoms, and there are hundreds, can stem from vascular inflammation. Brain fog and the many neurological conditions,… heart and vascular disorders including blood clots, can all be caused by vascular inflammation. Go to a long COVID Clinic, and they will want to treat your symptoms separately, with various different modalities. You might end up with 5 or more different specialist in various fields. When there is really only one reason you are ill. The vascular inflammation caused by the persistent spike. Whether it came from the virus or the clot shot. If there are lingering symptoms after dealing with the vascular inflammation, then sure, you take a more targeted approach to symptom relief. But you need to deal with the underlying causes first and foremost. And until the medical community recognizes vascular inflammation lies behind many of the symptoms suffered by long-haulers and the vaccine injured, progress and success will be slow in coming.
Here is another doc, who previously done HIV research,… and so familiar with Maraviroc,… used it to help long-haulers. Dr. Stuart Malcolm, Medical Director at RTHM, (whatever the hell that stands for) is looking at…. Potential Treatment Options for Long COVID Fatigue and Brain Fog - YouTube
In that short vid, he is more or less fishing for remedies and not really understanding how benefits are achieved with each of these nutraceuticals and/or medications. In the vid, he presents data from a pharmacist who polled patients. Of some interest, patients found the proteolytic enzymes, Nattokinase and Lumbrokinase helpful for brain fog and fatigue. Also of interest, antihistamines have helped as well. And that has been shown in Dr. Shankara Chetty’s treatment of long-haulers, focusing on the hypersensitivity in play. But again, this seems to be only temporary relief, until the next trigger comes along. Whereas the enzymes improve cardiovascular health and possibly degrade the spike. And these enzymes are incredibly safe. Unlike the many blood thinning medications, which all pose a threat of bleeds and other side effects.
Dr. Bruce Patterson was one of the first researchers to discover the persistent spike lasting up to 15 months post infection. His work was just confirmed again, with a study out last week (March 7th, 2024)…
“Since the virus is believed to persist in the tissue reservoirs,….. They detected portions of viral RNA for up to two years after infection,….. They found it in the connective tissue where immune cells are located, suggesting that the viral fragments were causing the immune system to attack.” COVID-19 Virus Can Stay in the Body More Than a Year after Infection - UC San Francisco
And just a reminder of how toxic this spike is. This paper reviews much of the evidence found in the literature. It is quite extensive, also covering the mRNA vaccine’s inflammatory LNPs. But I will just highlight the key points on the spike.
“We will summarize the evidence that the spike protein itself is independently bioactive and pathogenic. The spike protein has been directly related to both the pathophysiology that underlies COVID-19 viral illness and the serious adverse events from the COVID-19 vaccines that, via gene therapy mechanisms, induce human cells to produce the spike protein in substantial numbers. In fact, the spike protein in the original SARS coronavirus 1 (SARS CoV-1) epidemic in 2003 was identified as a cause of lung injury for which the term ‘severe acute respiratory syndrome’ (SARS) was coined… Many studies have demonstrated the spike protein is toxic.”
SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is pathogenic, whether from the virus or created from genetic code in mRNA and adenovector DNA vaccines.
Production of foreign proteins such as spike protein on cell surfaces can induce autoimmune responses and tissue damage. This has profoundly negative implications for any future mRNA-based drug or vaccine.
The spike protein exerts its pathophysiological effects via several mechanisms that lead to inflammation, thrombogenesis, and endotheliitis-related tissue damage and prion-related dysregulation.

Now for the bad news. As mentioned earlier, Maraviroc is a serious medication with a long lists of possible side effects, and some are quite disturbing…. Maraviroc: Side Effects, Interactions, Warnings and More. (msn.com)
The safety study (MOTIVATE) Dr. Patterson cites in his initial small trial,… was produced by the makers of Maraviroc. And take a guess who that is? Pfizer is the maker of Maraviroc and they funded the MOTIVATE study that Dr. Patterson is getting his safety analysis from. Now granted, this isn’t a vaccine, and drugs undergo a much more rigorous safety approval process. But you know for a fact, Pfizer is definitely gonna put the best slant they can on their product. And as you can see by the numerous possible side effects, that have been seen throughout the years since it first came out in 2007, this is a serious medication that has its risks. But again, unlike most who use this drug long-term, this novel treatment lasts only 8 to 12 weeks.
Here is a Reddit thread, where people talk about their experience with Maraviroc. Of note, a few mention,…. things worsen before they get better. And what worries me, is that anyone willing to try this, is not in a good spot to begin with,… and really can’t afford for their symptoms to get any worse. Even for a short time. But there are some success stories…
Anybody tried maraviroc yet? : r/LongCovid (reddit.com)
Here’s a woman on YouTube giving an update on her POTS from long COVID, after using Dr. Patterson’s protocol…
Update on Maraviroc + been off treatment for over a month - YouTube
In the comment section of her vid (only about 100 comments), someone mentions where you can get Maraviroc cheap (India). You can also get Naltrexone (LDN) and Ivermectin there as well. With both having excellent safety profiles, and benefits for some with long-term symptoms, it could be well worth looking into. Being they are very affordable, and extremely safe, I don’t see any downside. I am un-vaxxed, have no long-term symptoms, and take both, LDN and Ivermectin prophylactically. In fact, I’ve been taking LDN daily for close to 10 years now. Ivermectin once or twice a week, began a little more than a year ago.
This is everything I have found on the Maraviroc and Pravastatin treatment. I would try other protocols first before considering this. And if you decide to go with Dr. Patterson’s novel treatment, make sure you see your doctor regularly and get tested. i.e.. liver enzymes, etc…
Stay safe and be well….
Thank you so, so much for posting this! Many thanks and blessings to you. 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for your suggestions. I've taken a boatload of supplements over the past 7 years, including the ones you mentioned. They haven't really helped much, if at all.
I was just reading another sub about how it could be synthetic nanotech. I'm still trying to process that info... Definitely worth researching, I guess.
Thanks for checking in. I appreciate that! 😍
